Surya Electro Controls Factory

We are out on Gill Mullanpur Road. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but the factory has enough space here. We do electrical control panels and stuff like that. It’s mostly metal work and wiring. The floor is always covered in scraps and wire bits. We have about ten guys working the machines. Some days the power goes out and we just sit around waiting. That is just how it goes here. It’s a factory, so it’s loud and greasy. We aren't trying to be anything special. Just making the boxes and the switches as they are ordered. The road outside gets very dusty in the summer. We’ve been at this location for a long time. I usually handle the orders while the boys do the heavy lifting. It’s honest work. Sometimes the parts don't arrive on time, and we have to tell the customers to wait. They usually understand. We don't have a big office or anything. Just a desk near the front door. If you come by, you’ll probably see me there. It’s a plain brick building. We focus on getting the wiring right. If a panel isn't perfect, we fix it. That's about it. No big speeches or fancy logos. We just work. The trucks come and go on the Gill Mullanpur Road all day long. We just try to keep up with the noise. It's a living and we've been doing it for years now. We'll probably be here for many more.
