Chahal Electric Works

You can find Chahal Electric Works in the Industrial Area near Cheema Chowk 247. It is a spot filled with wires and old motors waiting to be looked at. The workbench is always cluttered with screwdrivers and testers. We have been in this part of the industrial area for a long time and the building shows its age. There are stacks of copper wire in the corners. The light isn't great inside so we use those big portable lamps to see what we are doing. Cheema Chowk is always jammed with traffic and the sound of horns comes right through the front door. We spend a lot of time on our knees or bent over machines. Our hands are usually stained with grease that never quite comes off. It’s a tough kind of work but it keeps us busy. We don’t have any fancy displays or a reception area. People just walk right into the work floor and find us. Usually, there is a radio playing somewhere in the background to keep things lively. The tea man comes by twice a day and that’s our main break. We just keep fixing things until it’s time to lock up the heavy gates at night. It is a simple life at the workshop. We just focus on the electrical stuff and try to stay out of the heat. That’s us at number 247. We don't have a mission statement, we just fix motors.
