Sri Amaravati Exim India is based in the Waraich Market on Rahon Road. Being in a market means there’s never a dull moment and you’re always bumping into neighbors and other shopkeepers. Our work involves a lot of import and export stuff, which means we spend a lot of time on the phone and dealing with shipping documents. The office is tucked away in the market, and it’s usually filled with samples and piles of files. We don’t have a lot of space, so every inch is used for something. Rahon Road is always busy, and Waraich Market is a hub for all kinds of trading. We see a lot of different people coming through every day, some looking for information and others just passing by. It’s a bit of a maze in the market, but once you know where we are, it’s easy to find. We have our tea brought in from the stall nearby, and that’s when we usually catch up on the local news. The export business can be a bit of a headache with all the rules and timing, but we’ve been doing it long enough to not get too stressed about it. We just handle the containers and the paperwork as they come. It’s a decent living and we like being part of the market atmosphere. There’s always someone to talk to and something new to see outside the window throughout the day.
