Many years have passed since we first opened here, selling marble and tiles to the neighborhood. Our space is not the biggest, but we pack a lot into it so people have enough choices. Small teams handle everything from the sales to the cleaning. Corporate training is absent here; we just talk to people like we would to anyone else on the street. Wait times happen when we get busy, but we try to get to everyone eventually. Choosing tiles takes time because there are so many patterns, so we let people walk around at their own pace. Hauling boxes is a daily chore that keeps us tired but active. Local shops like ours provide what people need for their floors and walls without too much fuss. Seeing familiar faces every day is one of the better parts of being in Basti Jodhewal. We do not have a website or big ads, just a sign at the chowk.
