Mayur Marbles

Mayur Marbles is located in V.P.O. Daad. You’ll find us on Pakhowal Road, right near the Bhaiwala Gurdwara. It’s a well-known spot in the area. We’ve been operating out of this location for a long time. Our main focus is just getting marble out to people who need it for their homes. Being near the Gurdwara means we see a lot of local traffic. The yard isn't huge but we fit a lot of stone in there. We mostly deal with local folks from Daad and the surrounding villages. Sometimes we get people coming all the way from the main city because they heard we have good stock. We keep things pretty simple here. No big sales pitches or shiny brochures. Just a lot of heavy lifting and moving slabs around. My cousins and I run the place mostly. It gets tiring in the summer heat, but we like the work. People stop in to ask prices and check the quality of the marble. We try to keep a decent variety of stones because everyone has different tastes. Some want white, some want something darker or with more veins. We just show them what’s available on the pallets. It’s a modest business. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or radio ads. Most of our customers come because they saw us while driving to the Gurdwara or someone told them we were here. We are just here every day trying to get the job done.
