Hindustan Marbles & Granites

You can find us over at Plot No 45, F/A, in Gurdev Nagar. Hindustan Marbles & Granites has been sitting here opposite the Satpal Mittal Chowk for a good bit of time. If you know the Malhar Cinema Road area, you know how busy it gets, especially around the intersection. It’s a lot of cars and people rushing around. Our yard is usually filled with different stacks of marble and granite slabs. We spend most of our mornings just moving things around with the crane or by hand if they aren't too big. It’s dusty work and by the end of the day, our clothes usually show it. People come by after seeing the cinema or while they are running errands near the chowk. We don't do much in terms of fancy talk; we just show them what we have on the lot. Sometimes the weather in Ludhiana makes it hard to work outside, but we manage. Whether it is the heat or the rain, the stone needs to be moved and the customers need to see what they are buying. It's a plain operation without any big corporate frills. We just focus on the stone we have in stock and making sure we can get it to where it needs to go. It’s a basic business on a busy street and we’ve been here long enough that most of the local builders know our face.
