Shree Ji Marble Point

Shree Ji Marble Point is over at C-2, Mahavir Nagar, which is right off Ferozepur Road. It’s a pretty busy area with a lot of traffic passing by all day long. We’ve got our stock laid out in the yard and under the sheds. Working on Ferozepur Road means we see a lot of different people stopping in while they’re driving through. It’s just a small team of us here. We spend a lot of time unloading trucks and making sure the marble slabs are stacked safely. It can be a bit dangerous if you aren't careful, so we have to pay attention when we’re moving the heavy stuff. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but we have some really nice pieces of stone if you take the time to look through the rows. I usually end up talking to folks about their home renovations while we walk around the yard. It’s nice to hear about what they’re building. Sometimes the weather makes things a bit difficult, like when it’s pouring rain and we have to cover everything up, but usually, it’s just a matter of keeping the dust off the slabs. We’ve been here in Mahavir Nagar for a good bit now, and we’ve gotten to know the other shop owners around us. It’s just a steady, everyday kind of life here at the yard, and we like the people we meet.
