Sharvan Singla

Ludhiana is always moving, and we are right in the middle of it at 1623/A. You can find us in Kriam Pura Bazar, which is near Sukhram Nagar. Sharvan Singla is the name on the door, though it’s a small office. The market outside is always loud with people buying and selling things. I’ve lived in this city my whole life, so I’m used to the noise. We work on accounting and tax stuff mostly. It’s not very exciting work, but it needs to be done right. My desk is usually covered in receipts and bank statements. People come in from the bazaar with their accounts in plastic bags. We sort through it all. It’s a bit of a squeeze in the office sometimes when more than two people visit at once. The 141001 area is a good place to be if you want to be close to the trade. We don't have fancy furniture or a big lobby. It’s just a place to get work done. I spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at the computer screen. Sometimes the tea stall downstairs brings up a cup when we are working late. We don't do anything special, just handle the books for small shops and local businesses around the bazaar. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy throughout the year. The ledger books are heavy, but they tell the real story of the market and the people who work here.
