Burma Enterprises

Burma Enterprises is located at 258, Industrial Area-A. Every morning starts about the same way. We get here around nine, pull up the heavy metal shutters, and let some air into the place. It usually smells a bit like old iron and dust, but that is just how an industrial area is. The shelves are mostly filled with various parts and supplies we’ve collected over the years. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop on the block. We just want to get the orders right for the people who come in. There is an old wooden desk in the corner where we handle the paperwork. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook with people asking for prices, and other days we just sit and wait for the delivery truck to arrive. The concrete floor has some cracks that have been there since I started. We have a small kettle for making tea in the afternoon when things slow down a bit. The neighbors next door run a textile unit and they are always making a lot of noise, so we have to talk loud to be heard. It is a simple setup we have here. We don't have any flashy signs or a modern office with air conditioning. It gets pretty hot in the summer months, but we just keep the fans running and stay busy. That is how things go at Burma Enterprises.
