We are S.Dalip Singh Sons, and we’ve been the distributors for Siyaram Silk Mills in Ludhiana for a long time. Our place is at 360 Cx in Model Town Extension. If you live in Ludhiana, you probably know Model Town is a busy area with a lot going on. Our warehouse and office are always full of fabric rolls and boxes. It smells like new cloth in here, which is something you get used to after a few days. We aren't some big corporate distribution center with robots. It’s mostly us moving things by hand and keeping track of orders on paper and the old computer in the corner. We deal with a lot of local shops and tailors who need quality material. My family has been doing this for years, and we know most of our customers by their first names. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when a new shipment comes in from the mills. The office part is just a small room where we handle the bills and phone calls. It gets a bit dusty with all the textiles, but that’s just the nature of the business. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we have, you just walk into the back where the stock is kept. We’re just local people providing fabric to the city. It’s a steady life, and we like the community in Model Town Extension. We keep things moving every single day.
