We have been working out of our shop at 2658 Dhuri Line for many years now. It is a busy spot and the air is usually thick with the sound of machines and the smell of cut metal. Royal Engg Works is not the kind of place you come to if you want a shiny showroom or a cup of fancy coffee. We have got grease on the walls and the floor is a bit uneven, but that is because we are actually doing the work. Mostly, we handle engineering jobs for local folks and other businesses that need parts fixed or something custom made from steel. I start my day early, usually before the traffic on Dhuri Line gets too loud. It is just me and a couple of other guys back there handling the lathes and the welding kits. We don't have a big marketing plan or a polished website to show off. Most people find us because they saw the sign or heard about us from someone else in the neighborhood. It is hard work and my hands are almost always dirty, but it is what I know how to do. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the morning just getting things running right again. That is just how it goes in a real workshop. We just keep our heads down, do the repairs, and try to get home at a decent hour. Every day is pretty much the same, just keeping the equipment moving and making sure the parts we finish are good.
