Mumtaj Arts

Our workshop is located at House Number 600 in Model Colony. We are on Street Number 9, just off the main Jagirpur Road. The Red Rose Public School is very close to us, so we always hear the sound of the kids shouting and playing during their lunch break. It makes the neighborhood feel very alive and busy. We do all kinds of art work and framing here in the house. The rooms are usually a bit cluttered with scraps of wood, pieces of canvas, and old paint jars. I try my best to keep the workspace organized, but it is a difficult task when you are in the middle of a project. Street 9 is quite narrow, which makes it hard for bigger vehicles to park, so we often have to carry finished pieces down to the main road. We have lived and worked in Model Colony for a long time now. People know which house is ours because there is usually something being painted or dried near the entrance. It isn't a factory by any means; it is more of a small space where we can take our time to get things right. My hands are almost always covered in paint or glue by the time evening rolls around. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. If you want to see what we are doing, you just have to step into the workshop. It is a bit crowded, but it is a good place to create things near the school.
