R. S. Engineering Works

R. S. Engineering Works is located at 99, G. T. Road, right in the heart of Miller Ganj. If you know the area, you know it’s always humming with activity. We’ve been here for years, and the building shows its age a bit, but it’s sturdy. We do a lot of metalwork and repairs. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil, which is just part of the job. It's a family-run place, mostly. My uncle started it, and now we all pitch in. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people knowing where we are. G. T. Road is always loud, so we have to shout over the traffic sometimes. We take on whatever engineering jobs come through the door, big or small. Some days are slow, and we just clean the tools, but other days we don’t even have time for lunch. It’s honest work. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just fix things and make parts. If you come by, you’ll probably find me at the lathe or checking the measurements on a drawing. We’re just here doing our bit every day. The tea guy comes around at four, and that's usually the highlight of the afternoon. We've got a lot of old machines that still work better than the new ones. That's the way we like to keep things around here in Miller Ganj.
