Lakkar Bazar is where you will find us, right at number 27. As the name suggests, the whole street is full of wood and sawdust. Prakash Manufacturing Company has its roots here. we spend our days making things, usually with a lot of noise and a fair bit of mess. The smell of cut wood is everywhere, which you get used to after a week or two. Our workshop isn't a modern glass building. It's a place with sturdy walls and floors that have seen better days. We have saws that scream and hammers that don't stop. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to start over on a piece. That’s just part of the process. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just have our hands and the machines. People in the market know us. We might be having tea with the shopkeeper next door when things are slow. When it's busy, though, there's no time for talking. We focus on getting the measurements right. It gets very dusty, so we are always dusting off our clothes before going home. It’s a simple life of manufacturing. We do what we know how to do and stay here in the bazaar. It is a good place to be if you like to see how things are built from scratch. We just keep the wood moving and stay focused on the work.
