Prabhu Eletric Company

We are located over in Jamalpur, right on Annadanappa Lane near Avenue Road. It’s a very old part of the city and the streets are quite narrow. Finding our place for the first time can be a bit tricky for people because of all the turns. We deal with wires, switches, and all sorts of electrical bits that people need for repairs. The shop is usually piled high with cardboard boxes. Sometimes I can’t even see the back wall through the stacks. It is mostly contractors and local guys from the neighborhood coming in. They know exactly what they want, so we don't spend much time talking about things. I started this business a long time ago. The building is old, and the stairs going up are very steep. I spend a lot of time every day checking the stock lists. If we run out of a certain switch or wire, it takes a few days to get it back in from the suppliers. The afternoon sun hits the front window directly, so it gets quite hot inside during the long summer months. I usually have a small fan going on the counter, but it doesn't do much to cool the place down. People around here know us as the place with all the wooden crates sitting out front. We try to keep things simple and just provide what people need for their houses. It’s a busy area, always people shouting and carts moving around. That's just life in this part of town.
