P. H. Engineering Works

Down here at Plot No. 4035 in Narinder Nagar, things stay pretty steady. P. H. Engineering Works is tucked away near Samrala Chowk, which can be a real headache with the traffic some days. We’ve been operating out of this space for a good bit now. The floor is concrete and usually covered in metal shavings or a bit of oil here and there. It’s not a showroom, just a place where we get the engineering work done. We see a lot of the same faces coming through the door, mostly folks from around the neighborhood or people who got lost looking for the chowk. The lights hum a little bit in the back, and there is always some project sitting half-finished on the bench. We keep our tools where we can find them, though sometimes they wander off. Working in Narinder Nagar has its ups and downs, but it’s home for the business. We don’t spend much time on the computer or doing fancy talk. Most of the day is just handling the machines and making sure the measurements are where they need to be. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of materials delivered, but we make it work. If you walk in, you’ll probably hear the radio playing somewhere under a pile of rags. We just keep our heads down and keep moving. We are easy enough to find if you are near the chowk area and looking for the big numbered plot.
