Our office is at 1 Kochal Market, which puts us right in the middle of all the daily activity there. It is a lively place to work, and being at number one means we are easy to find. The space is a bit of a mix, reflecting the fact that we handle both the art side of things and the technical architectural work. You might see a watercolor sketch sitting right next to a very technical structural plan. It is not the most organized office in the world, but we know where everything is, more or less. The market noise outside is constant, with people moving about and shops opening up, and we have grown to like that energy. Inside, we have our drafting stools and desks piled with reference books. We are not big on corporate rules or formal meetings. Usually, we just huddle around a drawing and talk about what needs to change. Some days we are focused on the aesthetic look of a building, and other days we are just crunching numbers to make sure everything is safe and within code. It is a lot of mundane tasks, like checking scale or ordering more plotter ink, but it is what we do. We have been at Kochal Market for a while now, and it feels like the right place for us to be, right in the thick of the community, just doing our work as it comes.
