We’ve been here at Marine Chambers for a while now. The office is tucked away in Shirole Park on Senapati Bapat Road, right near Vetal Chowk. It’s a busy spot in Shivaji Nagar, but once you get up to the first floor, it’s actually pretty quiet for work. We handle a lot of design work and planning for interiors. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard for people to find the right turn, but usually, once they spot the A Wing, they get here fine. Being on the first floor at Flat No 3 means we carry a lot of samples up and down those stairs. It gets messy when we have a big project going on with drawings spread everywhere. We aren't a giant firm with fancy receptionists or anything. Most of the time we are just sketching or talking to contractors on the phone. The light in this part of Shivaji Nagar is actually quite good for looking at materials during the day. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we started. It’s a practical space where we spend most of our hours. Nothing too flashy, just a place where we sit down and figure out how to make a room look decent or how a building should stand. People usually drop by after calling first because we might be out at a site. It’s just how we run things here in this corner of Pune.
