Mehar Fashion & Designer Boutique

We are located in Khanna, right at Gurudev Nagar on the Kakade Corner. It’s a good spot because we are close to A S College, so there are always students and people walking by. Mehar Fashion & Designer Boutique is really just a place where we spend our days surrounded by piles of fabric and spools of thread. The sewing machines are almost never silent. We do a lot of custom work, taking measurements and trying to get the fit just right for whoever walks through the door. The shop is often a bit of a mess with scraps of cloth on the floor and half-finished dresses hanging from the racks. We don’t mind it though, it shows we are working. Sometimes it gets a little cramped when a few customers come in at once with their families, but we manage. We’ve got a big table in the middle for cutting the patterns. It is a lot of work on the eyes and the hands, especially when there is a lot of embroidery to deal with. My sister and I mostly handle everything ourselves. We get our tea from the stall across the street and talk about what designs are popular this month. It’s a simple life here in the boutique. We just try to make things that look nice and make people feel good when they wear them. Sometimes the iron gets left on too long, but we stay careful.
