Our shop is in the heart of Chaura Bazar, right in the Electric Market. If you know this area, you know how crowded and busy it gets. We deal in all sorts of electrical goods, from wires and switches to bulbs and fans. The shop is surrounded by many others just like it, but we have our own regular crowd. It’s a narrow space filled from floor to ceiling with boxes. Sometimes it’s hard to move around in here, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We’ve been part of this market for quite some time. It is not a place for someone looking for a quiet shopping experience. It’s loud, dusty, and full of energy. We sell to both local contractors and people just trying to fix a light at home. We don't use any corporate talk here. We just tell you what works and what doesn't. My hands are often a bit dirty from handling the stock, but that is part of the job. We open when the market opens and stay until the shutters go down everywhere else. It’s a competitive place, so we have to stay on our toes. We don't have a mission statement or anything; we just want to sell good electrical parts and make a living. It’s a real, old-school market vibe that you won't find in the newer parts of town. Most people who shop here know exactly what they are looking for.
