If you head down to Industrial Area - B and look near Highway Industries, you’ll find us at No. 701. Karam Chucks (Regd.) has been a fixture in this part of town for years. It’s a busy spot with a lot of noise and activity, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it. Inside, the shelves are pretty packed with inventory and tools we’ve collected over the decades. We make chucks and related bits for machines, mostly because that’s what we learned to do from our fathers. It isn't a clean job—your hands are going to get greasy if you stay too long—but it’s satisfying to see a finished piece ready to go out. We don't have a shiny website or a marketing department. Usually, it’s just one of us wiping grease off our hands to pick up the phone. We’ve had some of the same customers for twenty years now, and they keep coming back because they know we don’t cut corners on the metal. Sometimes the air is thick with the smell of cutting oil, but that’s just the smell of work to us. It’s a simple operation, really. We show up, we make the parts, and we go home to our families. We take pride in the fact that our stuff lasts, even if we don't say it out loud too much.
