K K Kapoor & Associates is located over at 48-B in Civil Lines. We’re pretty close to the Rose Garden and Udham Singh Nagar, which is a nice part of Ludhiana to be in. The office isn't anything spectacular to look at from the outside, just a regular building where we spend most of our waking hours. Inside, it’s mostly shelves filled with folders and the sound of keyboards clicking away. Being near the garden means we sometimes get a bit of a breeze, but mostly it's just the usual office heat. We’ve got a small team here. We handle a lot of different things, mostly related to audits and tax stuff that people find boring or confusing. It’s not the kind of job that has a lot of excitement, but it’s important. We see a lot of regular faces who have been coming to us for years. There’s no big corporate strategy here. We just open up in the morning, check the mail, and start working through the list of things that need to be finished. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator, but we keep going. It’s a very local operation. We know the area well and the people who live around here. It’s just a place where work gets done and we try to stay organized amidst all the documents and legal requirements that pile up on our desks every week.
