J. S. Machine Tools

Our workshop is at E-46 in Focal Point, and being near the FCI Godown means there is always a lot of heavy vehicle movement around us. It’s a busy industrial pocket, and we fit right in with the rest of the shops. At J. S. Machine Tools, the floor is usually crowded with various pieces of equipment in different stages of repair or assembly. We don't have a lot of room for fluff, so every square inch of E-46 is used for something productive. You’ll often find us hunched over a lathe or standing at a workbench with a wrench in hand. The lighting isn't always the best, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but that doesn't stop us from getting the work done. We’ve been here long enough that the local truck drivers and other shop owners are all familiar faces. We don't use any high-tech management systems; mostly it’s just notes scribbled on a calendar and a lot of talking to each other to stay on track. The smell of cutting oil and old metal is just what home smells like to us now. Some days are long, especially when a machine is being stubborn, but we stick with it until it’s right. It’s a grit-and-gears kind of life here in Focal Point. We aren't trying to be anything other than a reliable machine shop where people can get their tools sorted out.
