You can find us over in Sarabha Nagar. It’s a decent area to work out of, and we’ve been here long enough that we know most of the shortcuts around the blocks. Most of the day is spent with a toolkit in hand or looking at wiring diagrams that have seen better days. The shop itself is a mix of spare cables, light fixtures, and testers scattered around on the tables. We don't spend all our time inside though. A lot of the work happens out at different sites or houses in the neighborhood when people have issues. When we are at the shop, it’s mostly about prepping the gear for the next job. The workbench is usually messy with bits of tape and wire strippers. We’ve got a couple of old chairs for when someone drops by to talk about a project they are starting. It’s not a corporate office by any means. There’s usually a radio playing softly in the background, mostly for the news or some music to keep the rhythm going. We deal with blown fuses and complicated circuits that take a few hours to figure out. My hands are usually a bit dirty by noon, but that’s just part of the job. The neighbors are good people, and we often chat across the way when things are quiet. It’s a simple setup, but it serves its purpose for the work we do every day. We just keep at it until the sun goes down.
