You can find C K Fashions over at Shop 9 in the Westland Mall in Ludhiana. Being in a mall means there’s always a lot of foot traffic and people-watching to do. Our shop isn't the biggest one in the building, but we’ve made the most of the space we have. We spend a lot of time rearranging the hangers and making sure the displays look decent. Ludhiana is a big hub for this kind of work, so we feel right at home here. We aren't fancy people. We wear comfortable shoes because we’re standing most of the day. Sometimes the mall air conditioning is a bit too cold, so we usually have a sweater handy. We deal with all sorts of people who walk through the doors. Some just want to chat, and others are looking for something specific. We don't use any scripts when we talk to folks. It’s just us being ourselves. The work can be repetitive, like tagging items or folding shirts over and over, but it’s what we know. We’ve been in this spot for a while and have seen other shops come and go. We just keep our heads down and keep going. It’s a practical way to earn a living. If you’re walking through Westland Mall, we’re the ones near the corner. It's just a local shop doing its best. We like the routine of the mall and the friends we've made here.
