Birdi Carbide Dies

We operate out of 525 near the AC Market in Civil Lines, specifically on Rameshwar Road in Meghani Nagar. Birdi Carbide Dies is a small operation where we focus on making dies for industrial use. It is very specific work and it requires a lot of patience. The workshop isn't very large, and it is filled with specialized grinders and measuring tools. We don't have any air conditioning, so it gets quite warm when the machines have been running for a few hours. We usually have a couple of fans going to keep the air moving. Our desks are covered in blueprints and technical sketches that have coffee rings on them. It’s a place where we actually work with our hands every single day. We don't have a human resources department or a PR person. If someone has a question, they just talk to whoever is closest to the door. We have lived and worked in this part of Meghani Nagar for a long time. The neighborhood is full of small businesses like ours, so we all know each other. Sometimes we borrow tools from the shop next door and they do the same with us. It is a very practical way of doing things. We just come in, do the grinding and the polishing, and make sure the dies are the right size before they go out.
