Being right opposite the General Bus Stand means there is never a quiet moment for Bharat Tent House. You can hear the buses pulling in and out and the conductors shouting all day long. It's a very active spot. We have a lot of stuff stored here—poles, fabric, ropes, and all the other things needed for setting up. The space is often cluttered because we are always loading or unloading something from the back. It’s dusty work, especially when the wind kicks up from the bus station area. We have been here for a good while, and most of the locals use the bus stand as a landmark to find us. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We don’t have fancy furniture, just some old chairs and a big table where we figure out the schedules. Sometimes we sit outside on the stools when the weather is nice. We see a lot of travelers passing by with their bags, wondering where they are going. Our neighbors are mostly small shops and tea stalls. It’s a very practical location for what we do. We have to keep everything dry, so we’re always checking the roof when it looks like rain. It’s just a plain, hardworking place. There are no uniforms here, just people in their regular clothes getting the job done.
