Paul Sons

Our shop, Paul Sons, is right across from the Main Bus Stand at S.C.O 24-25. It’s a very noisy location with buses coming and going all day long. You can hear the conductors shouting destinations from morning till night. We’ve been here for years, and we’ve seen the town change a lot. The shop itself is a bit old-fashioned. We have wooden counters and shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. It’s often crowded in here because of where we are located. People waiting for their buses often pop in to see what we have. It’s a family business, really. My father started it, and now we are carrying it on. We don't do any big advertising. Word of mouth is enough for us. We know most of our regular customers by name. We sell a variety of things, and sometimes the inventory gets a bit mixed up, but we find what people need eventually. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day. By the time we close the shutters at night, we’re pretty tired. But it’s good to be part of the community. We see a lot of life passing by outside our windows. It’s never a boring day here, that’s for sure. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in.
