Bharat Box Factory Ltd.

Our factory is out in Village Bhamian Kalan, right off Tajpur Road. It’s a dusty area with a lot of trucks moving back and forth all day. At Bharat Box Factory Ltd., we spend our days dealing with piles of cardboard and big rolls of paper. The machines are quite old but they still get the job done. You can hear the thumping sound of the cutters from the street. It is a big space but it always feels cramped because of all the finished boxes waiting to be loaded up. Most of our workers live nearby in the village, so we all know each other pretty well. We make boxes for everything—shoes, sweets, clothes, whatever people need to pack. Sometimes the glue smells a bit strong when the weather is hot. We don't really have a front office to speak of, just a small cabin with a desk where we keep the ledgers. Everything is written down by hand mostly. The road outside gets pretty muddy when it rains, making it hard for the tempos to get in and out. We’ve been doing this for a long time. We don’t bother with fancy branding or big signs. People who need boxes know where to find us. It’s hard work and the days are long, but seeing the stacks of finished goods ready to go makes it feel alright. We just keep the machines running.
