Ban Ganga Enterprises

Our shop, Ban Ganga Enterprises, is situated in Miller Ganj along Kalwar Road at 579/21. It’s a part of town that never really seems to slow down. We deal with industrial hardware and various small supplies that local workers or homeowners need for their projects. Since the space we have isn't particularly large, we end up stacking things quite high on the metal shelves. Finding a specific sized bolt or a certain tool can sometimes take us a minute because of how much inventory is packed in here. It’s a very normal, local operation. Every morning begins with sweeping the front step and checking the new stock that arrived. The building itself has some age to it, but it does the job and stays relatively cool. There is no corporate office or fancy reception area here, just a sturdy counter and a few old chairs. A lot of our time is spent on the telephone coordinating with suppliers or helping a customer figure out exactly which part will fit their machine. Kalwar Road is notorious for being difficult to park on, so we see people rushing in and out all day long. We’ve been in Miller Ganj long enough to understand how the street works. The noise from the trucks and rikshaws is just part of the daily background for us. We keep our heads down and focus on the tasks at hand without making a big deal of it. There isn't any mystery to what we do; we just stay open.
