We’re based in Janta Nagar at number 2629 on Street Number 3. This street is always full of activity, mostly other small shops and workshops like ours. The air always has that metallic scent because everyone around here is cutting or welding something. We’ve got a solid space where we keep our lathes and drill presses. It’s not a place for clean clothes; you’re going to get some oil or metal shavings on you by the end of the day. We start the morning by going over the plans for whatever we’re building or fixing. The sound of metal hitting metal is the soundtrack to our lives here. We don't have a fancy office, just a small desk in the corner where we keep the invoices and a pen that barely works. It’s a practical setup. We know the other guys on the street, and we often borrow a tool or help each other out when something heavy needs moving. The days go by fast when there’s a lot of manual work to do. We don't really do much marketing or anything; people just know we’re here on Street 3 because we have been here for years. We keep our heads down and focus on the machines. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we stay late when a job is almost done. It's just what we do.
