Steel World

Our place is called Steel World. You can find us at D 65 in the Vibhuti Khand Industrial Area. We are in Gomti Nagar, right near Madhurima and next to the Kamla Tower. It’s an industrial spot, so there’s a lot of noise from trucks and machines. We deal with steel, as the name says. It’s heavy work and our hands are usually dirty by noon. The warehouse is big and can get quite hot in the summer months. We have all sorts of steel parts lying around. It looks like a mess to an outsider, but we know where everything is. My brother and I started this because we wanted to work for ourselves. We didn't have much when we began, just a small shed. Now we have this space in Vibhuti Khand. We supply to local builders and small shops. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably find us near the loading dock. We talk to everyone the same way. No corporate talk here. Just honest work. Sometimes the crane breaks down and we have to fix it ourselves. That's just a normal Tuesday for us. We’ve lived in Lucknow our whole lives and like being part of the growth here. It’s a tough business but we are used to it by now. We just focus on getting the orders out on time. That is the main thing for us.
