One Up Fabricator

Being tucked away in No. 12-Ugf at Shakuntalum Plaza means we’re right in the middle of all the chaos on Kanpur Road. We’re One Up Fabricator, and if you listen closely, you can usually hear us working from the street. There’s always the sound of metal hitting metal or the hiss of a welding torch going off. We’re close to Phinox Mall, so the traffic is always a mess, but it keeps the area lively. Our workspace isn't very large, so we have to be smart about how we stack the steel pipes and sheets of iron. We make gates, frames, and whatever else people need built out of metal. It’s dirty work, and there are sparks flying all over the place, so we’re always wearing our old work clothes. The floor is covered in metal shavings that I try to sweep up every evening, but they always seem to come back by noon the next day. It’s just a few of us here, and we’ve worked together for a long time, so we don’t need to talk much to get the job done. We just take the measurements, cut the pieces, and put them together. It isn’t always perfect, but it’s solid and it holds up. We just keep our heads down and finish the projects as they come in. Being on the upper ground floor of the plaza makes for some interesting delivery situations, but we make it work.
