Our place is located on Goods Shed Road in the Aishbagh area. It’s an industrial sort of spot, which is exactly where a steel business should be. We are right by the railway sidings and the warehouses, so there is always a lot of heavy lifting and trucks moving in and out. The sound of metal hitting metal is something we hear all day long. We deal in different kinds of steel products that people need for building or manufacturing. It’s not a clean or quiet job. Our hands are usually dirty and the yard is always full of steel beams and rods. We don't have a big sales floor with air conditioning. It’s just a functional space where we get the orders ready. People come to us because they know we are right there on Goods Shed Road and we have what they need in stock. We spend a lot of time checking the weights and making sure the trucks are loaded properly so they can get on their way. Aishbagh is a busy hub for this kind of trade, and we’ve been part of it for a good while. We keep our operations simple. We take the orders, move the steel, and that’s about it. There’s no need for anything fancy when you’re dealing with heavy metal every day. It’s a tough business but we enjoy the rhythm of it and the people we meet.
