S And S Enterprises is located over at No. 16-A-B in the Nadarganj Industrial Area. We are right on Amousi Station Road, so you hear the trains and the big lorries passing by all day long. It’s a pretty grey area with a lot of concrete and metal, which suits us just fine because of what we do. We handle industrial supplies and parts that the factories nearby are always looking for. The warehouse is a bit dark in the corners, and we keep a couple of heavy flashlights handy for when we need to find something on the top racks. It’s a lot of lifting and moving crates from one side to the other. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that; if you walk in, you’re basically standing right in the middle of the workspace. There’s usually a pot of tea sitting on a small burner in the corner because it gets cold in the winter months here. We’ve had a few leaks in the roof when the monsoon hits hard, but we just put buckets under them and keep working. It’s a straightforward kind of life here on the station road. We know most of the drivers who come through, and we spend a lot of time talking about the traffic and the weather while we load up their vans for the next delivery. It is loud and busy, but we are used to it by now and we just keep on with the work.
