The Phd Chamber Of Commerce is located at 1A La Place on Shahnajaf Road in Hazratganj. Being right here in the heart of the city means there is always something going on outside our windows. The traffic on Shahnajaf Road can be a bit much during rush hour, but it makes the office feel like it’s in the middle of everything. We aren't a big, cold organization; we are just a group of people working out of this space in Hazratganj. The office has a very lived-in feel to it. There are files stacked on shelves and old wooden furniture that has been here for years. We spend our days coordinating with different people and handling paperwork. It’s a lot of phone calls and sitting at the computers. People often stop by just to ask for directions or to see what we are up to. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea, and that’s usually where the best conversations happen. The building is older, so it has its quirks, like the occasional flickering light or a door that squeaks every time someone enters. We don’t spend much time worrying about how the place looks to outsiders. We are more concerned with getting through the daily list of things to do. It’s a busy environment but we try to keep it friendly and relaxed for anyone who walks through the door. Most days we are just happy to have a steady rhythm and good tea to keep us going.
