If you head down Mullahi Khera Road in Sarojini Nagar, you’ll find us right near the Scooters India Ltd factory. It’s an industrial sort of area, so there is always a lot of noise and the smell of metal in the air. We deal with steel, which isn’t exactly clean work, so our clothes usually have a bit of grime on them by the end of the shift. The shop is big enough to hold the beams and sheets we keep on hand, but it’s never quite big enough for everything we want to store. We’ve been at this location for a good bit now, and we know most of the drivers who come through this part of Sarojini Nagar. It’s a lot of lifting and moving things around, which keeps us tired but satisfied. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team, just a phone that rings and a gate that stays open for most of the daylight hours. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside and we have to sweep it out, but that’s just life near a main industrial route. We treat people fair and try to get orders loaded as quick as we can, though sometimes the crane gives us trouble. It is a straightforward business, really. We just sell steel and try to stay out of the way of the big trucks moving in and out of the neighboring plants.
