You can find our site at Old Chungi in the Alambagh area, right on the main Kanpur Road. It’s a very busy stretch of road, so there’s never a quiet moment with all the buses and trucks zooming past. We deal with steel here, and the yard is usually stacked high with various materials. It’s a heavy, physical kind of place to work. The sun can be quite brutal in the summer months when you’re surrounded by all that metal, but the crew is used to it. We aren't the type of business that cares about having a polished appearance. Our office is just a simple room where we keep the ledgers and handle the billing. Most of our customers are people we’ve known for years, builders and contractors from around the city who need reliable supplies. Alambagh is a bit of a hub, so it makes sense for us to be here, even if the traffic makes things a bit slow sometimes. We have our own cranes for the heavy lifting, and there’s always the sound of metal clanging in the background. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just supply steel and make sure the weights are right. The guys in the yard know their business and they work hard to get the trucks loaded quickly so they can get back on the Kanpur Road and head to their next stop.
