Ground Fresh

Ground Fresh is our small place on Chowk Road in Golaganj, Lucknow. We are situated near the SBI Bank branch. It is a busy part of the city, and there is always a lot of movement on the street outside. I started this because I wanted a simple shop in the 226018 area. We deal with fresh stuff, mostly things people need for their daily meals at home. I get up early to make sure everything is ready before the office crowd starts moving toward the bank. The shop is kept plain and practical. I don't see the point in fancy decorations that just collect dust over time. I have a few helpers who help me move the heavy crates around in the morning. The Lucknow heat can be tough during the summer, but the shop stays relatively cool inside because of the high ceiling. People pop in while they are out doing their banking or running errands on Chowk Road. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just open the doors and wait for the customers to come in. I spend a lot of time checking the quality of the things we bring in. If it’s not good, I don't put it out on the display. It is a straightforward business for us. We like the Golaganj neighborhood and the people who live here. It feels like home to us every single day we are open.
