The Chilli 4 Chill

Our place is over in Aliganj, right on the main road at A1/21. If you know where Nehru Bal Vatika is in Sector-B, we are just opposite that. It's a nice part of Lucknow to be in, and we've been here for a good while. The name is a bit of a mouthful, but we just call it the shop. We do a lot of spicy food because that’s what people around here seem to like the most. It's mostly a small crew of us working here every day. We start early to get the sauces and the vegetables chopped up. The afternoon heat can be a bit much, but we have some fans going. We see a lot of families coming by after they visit the park across the street. It’s not a huge space, but we make it work. Sometimes the delivery bikes take up all the room out front, but we try to keep it tidy. We don't spend money on fancy menus or decorations. It’s just plain tables and chairs and good heat in the food. People know what to expect when they walk in. We keep the doors open and just wait for the next customer. It’s a quiet life mostly, just cooking and chatting with the people from Sector-B. Sometimes the power flickers when it’s raining hard, but we just keep the stove going and wait for it to come back.
