Meraki Architects

We’ve been working out of Omaxe Residency in Gomtinagar Extension for a while now. Meraki Architects isn't some big fancy firm with a lobby full of statues. It’s mostly just us sitting around desks with too many coffee mugs and rolls of tracing paper everywhere. We started this because we liked drawing buildings, but the actual work in Lucknow is a lot of talking to contractors and making sure the bricks show up on time. Most days, you can find someone here staring at a computer screen trying to get a staircase to fit into a tight corner. We don’t really do those glossy presentations unless someone really asks for them. Usually, it's just sketches and a lot of phone calls. The office is right here in the residency, so it’s easy for people to stop by if they are in the Gomtinagar area. Sometimes the traffic outside is a bit much, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We keep things pretty simple. If a wall needs to be moved or a roof is leaking, we figure it out. It’s a lot of practical stuff, not just making things look pretty on a screen. We have been in this spot for a bit and know the local people around here quite well. It’s a decent place to work. We just focus on the drawings and getting the sites sorted without making too much of a fuss about it. That's pretty much who we are.
