Devendra & Co.

Our shop is number 59 in Alambagh. We’re right near the Manik Nagar flyover, so you can always hear the cars and trucks rumbling overhead. It’s a noisy spot but it means we are easy to find. Latouche Road and Chander Nagar are just right there too. We’ve been at this location for years, and the shop has seen a lot of history. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, and I usually need the old wooden ladder to reach the stuff at the top. We deal in various goods, mostly things people need for their trades. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but that’s just how Devendra & Co. has always been. We don’t have a website or any of those fancy digital things. We just have our ledger books and a phone that rings quite a bit. Sometimes the traffic under the flyover gets backed up, and people wander in just to escape the sun for a bit. We don’t mind. It’s part of being in a busy commercial area like Alambagh. The guys who work here have been around forever, so we’re more like a family than a business. We handle the orders as they come in and try to make sure everything is correct before it goes out the door. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone. We just open up early and stay until the work is done. It keeps us busy.
