Our office is tucked away at 256/88 in Nada Wali Gali, which is in the Khajuha area of Lucknow. If you know Lucknow, you know that these narrow lanes, or galis, can be quite a maze to navigate for anyone who didn't grow up here. It is a very old part of the city, and there is a lot of history in the buildings and walls around us. The street outside is always full of cycles, scooters, and people walking by at all hours. It can be quite loud with the sounds of the city coming right through the front door. Ats Pvt Ltd is a small operation, and our office reflects that. It is just a couple of rooms with some simple furniture and a lot of files piled up. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a calendar and a clock that is always a few minutes fast. The air smells like street food and dust, which is just part of living and working in this part of town. We usually start the day by sweeping out the front entrance and getting the computers booted up. It takes a while for the place to warm up in the winter, so we drink a lot of hot tea during the mornings. The people in the neighborhood are friendly and we always say hello to the shopkeepers next door. It is a humble place to work, but it suits us just fine.
