Kesheera Dairy Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our dairy group is located in the small village of Bujurg Jamira, which sits near Barkakana in the Patratu region. Most of us here have spent our entire lives around cattle. It is a daily cycle that never really stops, not even for holidays or bad weather. We decided to come together as a company because it felt like the right thing to do for the community. Instead of everyone struggling with their own milk sales, we try to coordinate things from our base in Jamira. The work starts very early in the morning when it is still cold outside. You have to feed the animals and make sure they are healthy before anything else happens. We don't have any fancy equipment or a polished office space. We mostly just talk while we are working or when we meet up near the post office. It is a practical way of living. Some days are harder than others, especially when the cows get sick or the prices for feed go up unexpectedly. We don't use big words or have a complicated plan. We just want to make sure the dairy farmers in this part of Patratu can keep doing what they do. Everyone knows everyone else's business here, which helps keep us honest. We are just local people trying to make a living from our animals and the land we live on. It is a simple life, but it is what we know best.
