Jodasakhuwa Producer Company Limited

Jodasakhuwa Producer Company Limited is situated in Heswe village, over in the Senha block of Lohardaga. We work out of Bandhan Oraon’s place. It’s a typical rural setup because that’s where the work is. Most of us here are from farming families, and we’ve been working the soil since we were kids. This company was formed so we could pool our resources and maybe have an easier time with the logistics of farming. It’s a lot of work coordinating everyone’s harvest and making sure the transport shows up on time. In Lohardaga, things don't always go according to plan. Roads get blocked or the weather turns sour, and you just have to adapt. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. We mostly meet on porches or in the fields to talk about the season. Our focus is simply on the crops and making sure the members get what they need to keep their farms running. It’s an honest way to make a living, even if it’s exhausting. We aren't trying to sell anyone a dream. We just want to make sure the work we do actually pays off at the end of the year. It’s about the community in Heswe staying strong and helping each other out. We take things as they come and try to do our best by the land every single day.
