We are based out in the Chakur area, specifically at the place of Anjanabai Nyanoba Bejgamwar. Our company is called Techfarm Agro Producer Company Limited. Being in Latur, everything revolves around the farm and the seasons. We aren’t doing anything that’s going to make us famous, we’re just a group of local people trying to make the agro business work for us for once. Most of us grew up watching our parents struggle with the middleman and the unpredictable rains. We thought that by starting this company, we could have a bit more control over our own futures. It’s not a polished operation at all. Sometimes we’re just sitting on a porch talking about the cost of fertilizer or where to find better seeds. We don’t use any marketing buzzwords because we wouldn't even know where to start with those. We just use simple English and talk to each other like we always have. Chakur is a good place with hardworking people, and we’re just trying to reflect that in what we do. It’s a lot of work and the days are usually long and tiring. But at the end of the day, it feels good to know we’re working for ourselves and our community. We take things as they come and try to stay honest about what we can actually do. It’s just us, the land, and a lot of hard work.
