Taverna Foods Private Limited is over in Ashiv. We are at Namdev Manik Mane’s place, which serves as our base. This is in the Ausa Taluka of the Latur district. Being out here in Latur-413520 means we are surrounded by a lot of farming and local activity. We handle food products, so we are always busy with something. Whether it’s checking on supplies or figuring out where the next batch is going, the work never really stops. We don't have a fancy factory with robots. It’s a lot more manual than that. We use our hands and we use our heads. Namdev’s place is a regular house, and we’ve set up our workspace there. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We talk to our neighbors and we work with the people in the village. Sometimes the power goes out or the roads get muddy after a big rain, but that’s just life in Ashiv. We aren't trying to be some massive international food brand. We just want to make sure the food we handle is good and that we are doing right by the people we work with. It’s a lot of long days, but we don’t mind the work. We’ve been here for a while and we know how things work in this part of Latur. It is a practical business run by people who live right here.
