We are located at House No. 84/3 in Jawala (B) in the Latur district. Sumitraje Agro Producer Company Limited came about because a few of us were tired of struggling on our own. Latur can be a tough place for farming when the water gets low, so we thought having a company might help us share resources better. We aren't some big operation with a lobby and secretaries. We meet up at the house, drink some tea, and talk about what we need for the fields. It could be about sharing a tractor or figuring out where to send our grain. We try to keep things as simple as possible. The weather is our main boss, and it doesn't always listen to what we want. We deal with the crops that have always been part of this land. Everyone in the group has their own piece of land, but we use the company to act as one when we go to the market. It’s just practical. We don't have a lot of time for fancy talk or big promises. We just want to make sure that the work we put into the soil actually pays off. It’s a basic life, and we are just trying to make it a little bit more reliable for everyone involved in Jawala.
