We’re over here at R3-213/ 231 in Aayesha Colony, right in the middle of Latur. It’s usually pretty hot and dry outside, but we’ve got our little office set up where we try to figure things out for the local farmers. Shivrai Farmer Producer Company Limited isn't some big fancy corporation with glass walls and suits. It's just a few of us who know the dirt and the crops around here. We spend a lot of time talking to the guys who bring in their harvest, mostly just sitting on plastic chairs and drinking tea while we discuss what’s going on with the market or the rain. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when it should, and those are the hard days. Latur is a tough place for farming, but people here don’t give up easily. Our building in Aayesha Colony is easy to find if you know the area, though the street numbers can be a bit confusing for outsiders. We started this because we saw how hard it was for individual farmers to get a fair shake. Now, we just do what we can, day by day, handling the paperwork and the grain. It’s noisy sometimes, and there’s always dust on the desks no matter how much we clean, but that’s just how it is. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just making sure the folks around Latur-413512 have a place to come to and some help with their work.
