Our office is basically at Balaji Premnath Bhosale’s house, Number 7 in Dhanora. It’s a quiet spot in the Nilanga area of Latur. If you’ve ever been to Latur, you know the land here is what keeps everyone going. We started Satyaai Agro Producer Company Limited because we were tired of just taking whatever price was offered at the local market. It’s not a big fancy operation. Most days, it’s just a few of us sitting around, checking on the stocks and seeing which farmers need help with their paperwork or their seeds. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles here. The floor might be a bit dusty, and the chairs don’t always match, but the work we’re doing is real. We deal with the stuff that actually matters to a farmer, like the cost of fertilizer and finding a way to get the harvest stored properly. It’s a lot of back-and-forth between the different farms in Nilanga and Dhanora. We aren't experts in big business, but we know our crops and we know our neighbors. Sometimes things get a little chaotic during the harvest season, and we might not answer the phone right away, but that’s because we’re out there actually doing the work. We just want to make sure that the people who grow the food are the ones who get a fair deal for it. It's just local people helping each other out in the way it’s always been done.
